Meet our partner: Citizen Science Zürich (UZH / ETH)

📌 Citizen Science Zürich (UZH / ETH) is a joint initiative of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, supported by the Mercator Foundation Switzerland.

📌 CSZ supports people in engaging with participatory research and increasing citizen involvement in academia, providing the expertise, resources, and technical know-how needed to develop and run Citizen Science projects 🌱.

📌 Within RIECS-Concept, Citizen Science Zürich (UZH / ETH) leads stakeholder engagement with international organizations and global policy institutions to ensure the infrastructure aligns with global data and knowledge standards – especially for sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

✨ Drawing on experience from initiatives like CROWD4SDG and the SDG Olympiad, CSZ leverages its coordination of the Swiss Hub of the Citizen Science Global Partnership 🌱, based at Geneva’s SDG Solution Space, to connect with over 500 international organisations and promote citizen science as a standard data source for sustainability monitoring ✨
